Red Sandalwood, Pterocarpus santalinus, is not related to White
Sandalwood. It is a rich red color, and is used as an incense base wood
even though it has very little fragrance of its own. I use it when I
want a Martial influence in a blend, and for the nice red color.
Magickally, Red Sandalwood is used for protection, strength, power and lust. It is also used to enhance psychic powers and for meditation. Red Sandalwood also has many herbal healing applications, so it would be an appropriate addition to healing incenses as well. It has little smell, so use it whenever you want to redden your mixture.
